Church re-opening

St Peter & St Paul’s church is now scheduled to have its deep clean which will enable us to re-open the building safely, subject to the Covid-19 restraints.  However, this Sunday‘s service will remain a Facebook livestream on the morning of 12th.

It should be possible to open for private prayer for a couple of hours on Wednesday 15th (details to be confirmed).  You are encouraged to wear a mask to protect others, and hand gel will be provided (though feel free to bring your own). Amongst other measures, we are required to ask for name and phone number information for the government’s ‘track and trace’ system in case they need to trace those who may have been in contact with the disease.

There will be a short 9.30 Eucharist in St Peter & St Paul’s on Sunday 19th July in accordance with the current guidelines (no singing, no processing, responses said very quietly, 2 metre separation, communion in one kind, one way system).  Live-streaming will continue on Facebook for those who cannot join us in the building.  Plans for Sporle St Mary to reopen are also underway.

At the present time, it will be difficult for us as a church community to give donations of food, but if you would like to continue your support for this very important work by making a monthly donation, please print and complete the Mid Norfolk Foodbank form (link below) and send it to the Dereham address shown on the form.

For details of how to join others online for prayer, worship, study and community life and  news regarding the re-opening of the church building subject to Covid-19 restraintsclick on the ‘Services’ button on the right hand side of this home page.
